I have been waiting 3 weeks going on 4 and nothing yet. Lowes service has been terrible every time I have used it and this protection plan is no better. When I ask what I should do with the old dishwasher one will say to just dispose of it and one will say "Did you return it?" I forward them the e-mail and they are either stumped or say to just wait for the check. I have called 3x and each time I talk to a representative with LPP it's a different story. The dishwasher has not been picked up and the only thing I can think of is that it's too expensive too fix and not worth a service call. They sent me an e-mail out of the blue stating that the dishwasher has been returned and they are issuing me a refund check. I have a dishwasher that broke 3 weeks ago. I am dealing with LPP right now and the associates at the Lowes I purchased the product and protection plan are just as confused as I. Also, if your washer/dryer goes out Lowe’s will not buyout your dryer so you can have a matching set (This means that if you bought a $3000+ refrigerator for $600, then you’re only getting $600). Lowe’s will only give you the money you paid out for the original product + tax. Ice maker issues can now be considered for buyout if they meet the above criteriaĭuring a service call, if the service provider has to make a return trip to install ordered parts, that is still considered part of that initial trip.įor a buyout, Lowe’s does not replace your product. Can be for any issue and does NOT have to be within 12 month period. Ice maker issues cannot and will notīe considered for buyout prior to 10/27/16.įor appliances to be considered for a buyout: For plans purchased after 10/27/16 must have 3 completed service calls with parts installed and require a 4th visit. All must be completed within a 12 month period and must be for the same issue. (In Lowe’s land, 1+3 does not equal 4)ĭuring the 1 year warranty the OEM schedules any needed service appointments (no exceptions)įor appliances to be considered for a buyout: for LPPs purchased prior to 10/27/16 must have 3 completed service calls with parts installed and require a 4th visit. LPPs start from date of purchase not after 1 year OEM warranty ends. So I decided to create a list of need to knows. I work in Repairs services and have been getting yelled at left and right about start and end dates on our protection plans.
